Okay, so this one totally blew my mind and is a prime example of how culture travels and transforms. You know Ganesha, right? The adorable elephant-headed deity, usually associated with sweets and good fortune.

Well, turns out in Japan, Lord Ganesha gets a bit of a makeover, transforming into Kangiten. And instead of the usual laddus, his preferred offering? Daikon radishes! It’s such a fascinating twist, showing how beliefs and traditions adapt and find new, sometimes quirky, expressions when they integrate into different societies. Who knew a spicy root could become such a sacred symbol?
